Join our Campaign to lobby MPs on the need for sustainable funding for community pharmacy.
PHARMACIES NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Action Needed
Join the IPCN campaign for a better future for community pharmacies
Community Pharmacy is at breaking point, and we need YOUR voice to be heard in Parliament. The Government must take action, and every email sent puts pressure on MPs to act before more pharmacies close.
What You Need to Do:
1. Find your MP
Locate the MP for your pharmacy’s location and, if different, your home address MP using this link:
https://members.parliament.uk/
2. Send them an email outlining the crisis we are facing
Use the template we have provided , here, or personalise it with your own experiences. Explain how the funding crisis is harming your pharmacy, your staff, and your patients.
Make it clear that urgent intervention is required.
You can ask your staff to also send a letter using the template we have provided here, explaining the potential impact ongoing poor funding may have on their job security.
CC IPCN and Key Ministers:
Make sure to CC IPCN at “office AT ipcn.org.uk”
Also CC the following key MPs:
• Wes Streeting (Health Secretary): dhsc.publicenquiries@dhsc.gov.
• Rachel Reeves (Chancellor): public.enquiries@hmtreasury.
• Keir Starmer (Prime Minister): keir.starmer.mp@parliament.uk
3. Why this matters
Every email counts! MPs take issues seriously when their inboxes are flooded with concerns from their constituents. We must ensure that:
• Parliament is aware of our financial struggles and the imminent risk of closures.
• They understand the consequences for patients, jobs, and NHS services.
• They see that grassroots pharmacy owners, not just large chains, are demanding action.
This is our moment to apply maximum political pressure. The more emails MPs receive, the harder it will be for them to ignore us.
Act now! Find your MP, send your email, and CC IPCN and key ministers. Let’s make our voices heard before it’s too late.
